Lovely stay. Everything was super clean and the room had nice features like slippers, complimentary water, good hair dryer, and charging outlets access. Loved having g a ceiling fan, too. Bed was really comfortable. The breakfast had lots of options and hot options changed daily. Great self-serve coffee machine. We had lunch in the restaurant too during the stay and service and food were both excellent.

I can only assume all the positive reviews are from people who have never stayed in a decent hotel before. Rooms are fairly basic, but the throws were nice and pillows satisfactory. Some of the lights in the room are controlled by a remote rather than a switch - what’s the point of this? The shower was very temperamental, with the temperature going from tepid to scalding without touching the dial and required constant adjustment. The suitcase hold is under the only hanging space in the room, which is just irritating. Windows are tiny and let in very little natural light. However, they do have giant artificial lights in them at night which I’m sure give a great effect to passers by but meant you have no choice but to sleep with the curtains entirely shut. This perhaps sums this place up - they want to give the experience of luxury but it’s style over substance and simply doesn’t work. I tried to arrange a taxi for the airport and was told that the cost would be S/ 100. I challenged this and said Uber and Cabify were less than half that and she just said yes but this is the hotel taxi - unless it’s a helicopter, not remotely justifiable. Some other details such as the safe being tiny, the bathroom light being outside the door, the pool is tiny, and the very basic decor really made this a far from 4 star experience. And overall, the staff had an attitude like they were doing you a favour and you were an inconvenience. Frankly an appalling standard of service, especially when aside from some cool decor in the lobby, this hotel is basically not much better than a holiday inn. Next time I’ll go with a company that has actually earned their stars.
